When building a product, I don't think about making something for thousands of people. My goal is to make a small number of people extremely happy. If you can make a few people really happy, then a few great things happen.
- They become evangelists of your product, which is critical for a young product.
- If a few people love what you're making, then all you need to do is find more people like them.
- The quality of your product will be much higher because you aren't worrying about scaling.
Next time you're making something, focus on making 10 people really happy.
